Attendees joined LUA for a lively panel discussion covering clubs which meet virtually to discuss books available in accessible formats.
~~GDUI - Class Lecture - Author talk with Christi Bane: You won’t want to miss this! Our speaker knows the guide dog world from both the training and raising perspective. Her book, Forward Together: an inside look at guide dog training was published in 2020. It reveals the professional methods behind teaching guide dog skills. Christi shared her knowledge of, and experience with, a wide range of guide dog skills, how to match dogs to handlers, and teaching handlers how to work with their new guide dogs. ~~BPI: Wine from Two Perspectives: Winemakers and Wine-drinkers: BPI invited Dr. Hoby Wedler, Petaluma, CA and Gabriel Lopez Kafati, Miami, FL to share their perspectives in a fun and engaging duel of the experts. Let's hear what winemakers offer, while exploring what wine-drinkers want. Attendees brought a glass of their favorite wine as their questions were answered. They sipped, learned, and laughed together.
The Library Users of America were joined by attendees as they listened to, and commented on, some of the most inspiring poetry of our times. While we were not able to get the Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman herself, we pulled together a wonderful collection of her reading her own poems across the country, usually alone, but also with such musical backgrounds as the Boston Pops and John Baptiste.

ACBF Goes to Camp: It's summertime! Time for sitting around the campfire, telling stories and eating hotdogs and s'mores! Whether you're a kid or an adult, camp is a special experience. Attendees enjoyed stories read by a Talking Book narrator at our virtual campfire. Camp memories were shared in order to learn about today's camp opportunities.
~~Attendees joined GDUI for its inaugural 2021 session. They learned about the raffle, convention specials, door prizes and more. Each year GDUI recognizes three outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the lives of guide dog teams through their dedication, work, advocacy, and support. Each award is given to honor the individuals for which they are named. Attendees joined with GDUI to celebrate the outstanding recipients of The Ethel Bender, Moffitt-Gleitz, and Lieberg-Metz Awards.
